Kentucky First Steps

Kentucky First Steps is a state-run program that provides supports and services for families with children birth to three who have developmental delays or disabilities. Research shows that the first three years of a child's life are the most important time for developing and learning.  By providing needed services and supports during this time, families will be able to help their children with special needs develop to their full potential, and may decrease the need for additional help later in life.

For more information on the Program to go Kentucky First Steps Website.

As providers under Kentucky's First Steps program, we provide services to children ages birth to 3 years old at little to no cost to the families.  We are able to work hand in hand with families to aid them in encouraging speech and language development in their children.

If you would like our services through the First Steps program you can contact your counties Point of Entry office here.  Parents are able to refer their own children but another option would be making an appointment with your child's pediatrician.

After the referral process a screening and evaluation will take place.  Should your child qualify for services, you will be able to pick your preferred Speech-Language Pathology provider.  Feel free to request our company Interactive Therapy Services, PLLC. or by name Jen Vice or Melanie Asbury.
